PJSC Slavneft-Megionneftegas

PJSC Slavneft-Megionneftegaz (further – SN-MNG) is one of the first industrial associations of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra (further – KhMAO-Yugra), which stood at the origins of the West Siberian oil and gas complex development. The Enterprise has been tracing its roots since August 1, 1964 when Megionneft, the first oil field office in the Nizhnevartovsk region, was established for development of Middle Priobie Greenfields.

In the past decades, Megion oilmen achieved great success in the operating activity and made an essential contribution to strengthening of the KhMAO-Yugra industrial capacity. In the 1990s, such enterprises as Nizhnevartovskneftegaz, Langepasneftegaz, Varieganneftegaz were established on the basis of the production facilities founded by Megionnefegaz’s team.

SN-MNG mainly focuses on crude oil and gas production, additional appraisal of oil and gas fields, well drilling and operation.

SN-MNG produces crude oil in the Nizhnevartovsk, Surgut and Nefteyugansk districts of KhMAO-Yugra. Most of the operated fields are Brownfields. Therefore, the Enterprise is continuously searching for high-performance methods of raw hydrocarbons production. SN-MNG was awarded the Russian Federation Government Prize in Science and Technology for implementation of innovative technologies and engineering solutions, which allowed bringing difficult-to-recover reserves into active development and increasing multiply the oil production rate in the Brownfields in the 2000-th.

Now, SN-MNG actively develops the infrastructure of the fields (Achimovskoye, Tailakovskoye, Zapadno-Ust-Balykskoye), which exploitation was started in 2004–2009, and extends the resource base. In recent years, the Ostrovnoye and Yuzhno-Ostrovnoye oil and gas fields were put into commercial operation; the Zapadno-Chistinnoye and Vostochno-Okhteurskoye fields were brought into pilot operation. The Enterprise gained the right to use subsoil resources of the Yuzhno-Yugansky 1st license area for exploration, prospecting and appraisal of the hydrocarbons fields, purchased the Polevoy license area with the Polevoye, Pyatkovskoye and Severo-Negusyakhskoye oil fields placed therein.

In 2020, SN-MNG completed implementation of the three-year program for seismic survey of the Right-Bank group of fields in the Nizhnevartovsk region of KhMAO-Yugra. The area covered by seismic survey operations makes 650 m2. The “Green Seismic 2.0” technology was firstly tested in one of the most complicated areas. This technology envisages complete refusal from the heavy cross-country equipment and application of the light-weight equipment for surveys. The new seismic survey method allows reducing the impact on the region ecological system to the maximum extent and saving the significant wooded areas.

The important sphere of SM-MNG’s development is implementation of digital technologies aimed at enhancing the operational performance and safety. In 2020, the Enterprise established the situation center for energy saving management and control at oil fields. The information from all power facilities of SN-MNG is promptly received and analyzed due to a new complex of the automated operation control system. The Energy Management System of the Enterprise was certified for compliance with ISO 50001 requirements.

SN-MNG strongly focuses on occupational safety and mitigation of the man-made impact on the environment. The integrated system for management of occupational, industrial, fire, environmental safety and emergency prevention is in force in the Enterprise. This system conforms to such international standards, as OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) and ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System).
