Mikhail Osipov was appointed to be the Slavneft new President

At the meeting on June 29, 2015, the Slavneft Board of Directors passed the resolution to terminate the powers of Yuri Sukhanov, the Company’s President. Mikhail Osipov, who had held the position of the Company’s Vice President for Upstream before, was appointed to be the new President of Slavneft for the three-year period from July 01, 2015.
At the meeting of the Board of Directors it was stated that Slavneft was facing new challenges and it was necessary to make alterations to the Company management structure for resolving them. Therefore, JSC Gazprom Neft and OJSC Rosneft Oil Company, Slavneft’s Shareholders, adopted the resolution to change the Company’s President.

Mikhail L. Osipov was born in Grozny in 1961. He was graduated from the Grozny Petroleum Institute with a degree in Technology and Comprehensive Mechanization of Oil & Gas Field Development in 1983. From 1981 to 1993, Mikhail Osipov worked at different oil and gas production enterprises of the USSR (at such production associations, as Komigazprom, Orenburggazdobycha, Belorusneft, Nizhnevartovskneftegaz), where he moved up from the Oil and Gas Production Operator to the Head of the Well Workover Shop. He occupied different job positions at the Strezhevoineft Oil and Gas Production Directorate of OJSC Tomskneft and at OJSC Vostochnaya Oil Company, during 1993-1996 and 1996-1998, respectively. In 1998, Mikhail Osipov started working at the Tyumen Oil Company (TNK). Within the TNK Holding (later on – TNK-BP),he was the Chief Engineer of OAO Nizhnevartovskneftegaz and OAO Samotlorneftegaz, General Director of OAO Orenburgneft, Manager of various business units. From 2006 to 2009, Mikhail Osipov was the Executive Vice President for Oilfield Service; he was appointed to the position of the Vice President for Infrastructure in 2011and to the position of the Vice President for HSE and Upstream Integrity in 2012 at OJSC TNK-BP Management. From August 2009 to March 2011, he worked as the Regional Vice President for Russia and Former Soviet States at Weatherford Holdings (RUS), Ltd. Since June 2013, Mikhail Osipov has been the Vice President for Upstream at OAO NGK Slavneft. He has the titles of the Honorable Employee of the Fuel and Power Complex of the RF Ministry of Energy and Honorable Oilman of the RF Ministry of Energy.
