Yuri Sukhanov is stepping down from the post of Slavneft’s President
Yuri Sukhanov, who has managed OAO NGK Slavneft for more than 13 years, is stepping down from the post of the Company’s President. In accordance with the effective corporate procedures, at the meeting held on June 15, 2015, the Staff and Remunerations Committee (advisory committee of the Company’s Board of Directors) recommended to include the item on termination of Yuri Sukhanov’s powers in the agenda of the coming Meeting of the Slavneft Board of Directors.
Yuri E. Sukhanov headed OAO NGK Slavneft from May 2002. Under his leadership, the Company obtained significant success in reserve replacement, hydrocarbons production and refining, upgrading of the process capacities, improvement of the corporate governance system, enhancement of the industrial and environmental safety of production facilities. From 2003 till 2014, the Company’s enterprises ensured the increment of C1 oil reserves in the volume of 541 mln tons, produced 234 mln tons of crude oil and 10.6 bln cu m of gas, refined 288.7 mln tons of raw hydrocarbons, manufactured 52.2 mln tons of motor gasoline.
Within development of the oil production assets, the Company’s efforts in the years specified above were focused on development and commissioning of new license areas in the Krasnoyarsk region and on enhancement of the Brwonfield development performance in KhMAO-Yugra. Due to application of the up-to-date methods for subsurface exploration and hydrocarbons prospecting, Slavneft managed to increase the volume of oil-in-place (ABC1+C2) at the East Siberian fields (Kuyumbinsky and Tersko-Kamovsky blocks of the Yurubcheno-Tokhomskoye field) by factor of 4.5, i.e. up to 1.5 bln tons. The achieved result allowed the Company taking the leading position in the industry in terms of oil reserves increment in East Siberia. In 2009, the managers of Slavneft two subsidiaries were awarded the RF Government Prize in Science and Technology for participation in creation and introduction of the advanced seismic survey methods in the Krasnoyarsk region.
During 2002 – 2005, Slavneft gained the two-fold oil production increase due to implementation of the promising technologies and innovative engineering solutions, which allowed bringing difficult-to-recover reserves of the Brownfields into active development in KhMAO-Yugra. This achievement was awarded the RF Government Prize in Science and Technology that was granted to OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz, the Company’s key oil production enterprise, in 2008.
Over the past 15 years more than two tens of the process units and major production facilities were revamped and built within the large-scale upgrading program at OAO Slavneft-YaNOS, the Company’s key refinery. It allowed the Refinery to become the first enterprise in Russia, which switched over to production of the entire motor fuel volume in line with the highest Euro-5 environmental standard, and rank among the best refineries of the country. In 2009, YaNOS achievements in production of high-quality petroleum products were awarded the RF Government Prize in Quality.
