Yury Sukhanov, President of OAO NGK Slavneft and Natalia Komarova, Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra (KhMAO-Yugra), have signed the additional protocol determining the 2012 cooperation parameters within the 2011-2013 Bilateral Cooperation Agreement signed in 2011.
According to the currently achieved arrangements, OAO NGK Slavneft plans to allocate 100 mln rub. for the charity and sponsorship in the region. A significant part of these funds is supposed to be spent for the social sphere improvement in Megion, where the personnel of ОАО Slavneft-Megionneftegaz, the Slavneft’s key oil production subsidiary, work and live. As in the previous years, the Slavneft’s priority social investments are intended to improve the material and technical base of the Megion educational and medical institutions, assist the public organizations and associations, ensure health safety and security of children and teenagers. The Company also plans to continue financing the project for reconstruction and improvement of the Megion central square, allocate funds for implementation of the municipal children vocational program. Moreover, the Agreement signed envisages support to the social programs, which are implemented in the Nizhnevartovsk and Surgut regions of KhMAO-Yugra, governmental projects aimed at development of popular sports, science, education and culture.
OAO NGK Slavneft regularly signs long-term cooperation agreements with the local authorities of the regions where the Company performs its activity. These basic documents determine the main principles, forms and priorities for the parties’ cooperation in the economic, financial and budgetary, environmental and social spheres. The parties agree and set forth certain cooperation parameters, including the corporate obligations on financing the socially viable actions and projects, in annually signed agreements.
For the recent 5 years, within the partnership with the Government of KhMAO-Yugra, the Company has invested approximately 570 mln rub. in development of the local social sphere. OAO NGK Slavneft allocated above 375 mln rub. from those funds for financing the charity projects in Megion.
