The shareholders of ОАО Slavneft-Megionneftegaz (ОАО SN-MNG) approved the nominee of Vladimir Dronov for the position of the Subsidiary’s Director General at the Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting held on September 30, 2011.
Yury Shuliyev, the previous Director General of ОАО SN-MNG left the post, as he changed his work place.
The Extraordinary General Shareholders Meeting of ОАО SN-MNG was held in the form of absentee voting. The list of the shareholders authorized to take part in the Meeting was prepared under the register data as of July 11, 2011.
V.Dronov was born in 1967 in Megion, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. In 1991 he graduated from the Tyumen State Oil & Gas University and gained his degree in drilling of oil and gas wells. During 1991 – 2008 he worked in the Megion Drilling Service, where he started his career as a drillman and was promoted to the Head of the Central Engineering Service. In 2008-2009, he occupied the post of the Deputy Director – Head of the Drilling Shop in the Nizhnevartovsk branch of ООО Tekhnologii VFT (Weatherford’s subsidiary, KhMAO-Yugra). In January 2010, he was appointed Deputy Director General – Operational Director, ОАО Slavneft-Megionneftegazgeologia (ОАО SN-MNGG); in April of the same year he was elected Director General of ОАО SN-MNGG.
Yu. Shuliyev headed ОАО Slavneft-Megionneftegaz about 9 years. Under his management, the Subsidiary achieved great success in operations development and oil production optimization. After his appointment as the Director General in June 2002, ОАО SN-MNG started implementing an extensive scope of R&D related to analysis of the current raw material base, in-depth study of the domestic and foreign practices in development of difficult-to-recover oil deposits, as well as search and elaboration of highly efficient production technologies for specific geological and geophysical conditions. Under the research results, the well stock was optimized, the medium- and long-term wellwork programs were prepared, the new technologies aimed at production performance enhancement and mitigation of the man-caused impact on the environment started to be actively applied. By 2005, the oil production at the fields of ОАО SN-MNG increased twofold and made 24.2 mln tons. This result was achieved due to significant increase in the crude oil produced from difficult-to-recover reserves of Jurassic deposits. In 2008, ОАО SN-MNG under the management of Yu. Shuliyev was awarded the RF Government Science and Technology Prize for implementation of the innovative technologies which allowed starting active development of difficult-to-recover reserves.
