OAO NGK Slavneft will spend over 6 bln rubles for the associated gas utilization in 2010-2012
In 2010-2012, OAO NGK Slavneft plans to spend approximately 6.3 bln rubles for financing of associated gas utilization program.
The specified program provides for construction of new power generating facilities and gas transport infrastructure facilities at the license areas of the holding in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra.
In particular, from 2010 to 2012, the Company plans to construct and commission 2 gas turbine and 3 gas piston power stations at Taylakovskoye, Achimovskoye, Zapadno-Asomkinskoye and Chistinnoye fields and 2 gas pipelines of the total length of 45 km to transport the associated gas from Uzunskoye, Kysomskoye and Arigolskoye fields to gas processing plants of the KhMAO-Yugra (Belozerny gas processing plant and Nizhnevartovsk gas processing plant).
OAO NGK Slavneft has been implementing the program to increase the level of the associated gas utilization up to 95% since 2008. During the past two years (2008-2009) according to this program, 2 gas piston power stations were constructed and commissioned (at BPS-1 and BPS-2), multiphase pumping stations at Ketovskoye and Severo-Orekhovskoye fields, gas pipelines to transport associated gas from Severo-Ostrovnoye and Yuzhno-Lokosovskoye license areas up to the gas turbine power stations at Pokamasovskoye field. The total length of the gas pipelines amounts to 32.3 km.
As a result of the implementation of these projects, the associated gas utilization level at Slavneft's fields in KhMAO-Yugra increased from 68% in 2007 up to 71.1% in 2009.
