In 2009 OAO NGK Slavneft invests more than 57 mln USD in geological exploration of new fields in Eastern Siberia and YaNAO
In 2009, OAO NGK Slavneft plans to invest more than 57 mln USD in the development of new fields in Krasnoyarsk region and Yamalo-Nenetsky Autnomous Area (YaNAO).
According to the Company specialists forecast, the increment of the recoverable reserves of C1 category oil shall amount to 21.7 mln tons, including 17.6 mln tons in YaNAO and 4.1 mln tons in Krasnoyarsk region, in 2009. It is planned to increase reserves due to the discovery of new deposits and oil and gas bearing horizons on the basis of the results of exploration activities.
Two license areas (LAs) of OAO NGK Slavneft, namely Zapadno-Messoyakhsky and Vostochno-Messoyakhsky LAs are located in YaNAO. At present the Company carries out intensive preparation of these fields for pilot production which is planned to occur in 2013.
In Krasnoyarsk region OAO NGK Slavneft performs exploration of the Kuyumbinskoye field and the north-east area of the Tersko-Kamovsky License Block, as well as exploration of six new prospective areas (including Kordinsky, Chambinsky, Abrakupchinsky, Baikitsky, Tukolano-Svetlaninsky and Podporozhny areas) licenses for which were acquired at the end of 2005.
The Company’s Subsidiary, OOO Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz, which operates in the East-Siberian oil-and-gas province, is an oil industry leader by the rates of oil recoverable reserves increment in the region. Starting from 1998, the Subsidiary enabled to increment over 115 mln tons of C1 category oil reserves and 147 mln tons of C2 category oil reserves.
