OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz

OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz (OAO SN-MNG) is the key oil and gas production enterprise of Slavneft. SN-MNG’s key activities include oil and gas production, appraisal of oil and gas fields, well drilling and operation. The Enterprise produces oil in the Nizhnevartovsk, Surgut, and Nefteyugansk regions of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra.

OAO SN-MNG is one of the oldest industrial associations of KhMAO-Yugra, which stood at the origins of the West Siberian oil and gas production complex creation. The Enterprise has been tracing its roots since August 1, 1964 when Megionneft, the first oil field office in the Nizhnevartovsk region, was established for development of Middle Priobie Greenfields. In the past decades, Megion oilmen achieved great success in the operating activity and made an essential contribution to development of the KhMAO-Yugra industrial and social infrastructure. In the 1990s, such enterprises as Nizhnevartovskneftegaz, Langepasneftegaz, Varieganneftegaz were established on the basis of the production capacities founded by SN-MNG’s labor team.

Today OAO Slavneft-Megionneftegaz is a modern oil and gas enterprise with the developed production infrastructure, which includes business units engaged in hydrocarbons extraction, procurement, oil field/ utilities maintenance, medical treatment of employees and workers.

A greater part of the fields operated by SN-MNG are Brownfields. Due to this fact, the Enterprise actively develops and introduces advanced technologies to enhance the efficiency of difficult-to-recover reserves extraction, increase the reservoir recovery and ensure the additional oil production. SN-MNG was awarded the Russian Federation Government Prize in Science and Technology for implementation of innovative technologies and engineering solutions, which allowed bringing difficult-to-recover reserves into active development and multiply increasing the oil production at the Brownfields.

At present, Slavneft-Megionneftegaz actively develops the production facilities of the Achimovskoye, Tailakovskoye and Zapadno-Ust-Balykskoye fields, which commercial development was started in 2004–2009. The Enterprise is systematically extending its resource base. Due to this works, the Ostrovnoye, Yuzhno-Ostrovnoye, Travyanoye fields were brought into operation over the past few years. In 2017, SN-MNG obtained the license for hydrocarbons exploration, prospecting and production at the Zapadno-Chistinny license area and proceeded with drilling jobs at the Vostochno-Okhteurskoye field located within the boundaries of the Maksimkinsky license area. The Enterprise is planning to participate in the auction for purchasing the Yuzhno-Yugansky license area.

Enterprise’s specialists mastered a score of new oil production technologies adapted to a particular nature of the license areas under development. Megion oilmen managed to significantly increase the efficiency of sidetracking, hydraulic fracturing, well drilling and other wellwork jobs.

For many years, SN-MNG has been implementing the comprehensive energy-saving strategy, which includes actions for optimizing the operation mode of process facilities, introducing the advanced equipment and innovative solutions aimed at enhancing the operations energy efficiency. Certification audit for checking the compliance with the ISO 50001:2007 international standard (Energy Management System) was successfully carried out at the Enterprise in 2017.

Slavneft-Megionneftegaz pays special attention to safety of operational processes and mitigation of the man-made impact on the environment. The integrated system for management of occupational, industrial, fire, environmental safety and emergency prevention is in force in SN-MNG. The system was certified for conformance to the international standards of OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) and ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management System).
